The third generation of Porsche Boxster and Cayman is chosen as World Performance Car in 2013. This title is given by World Car Awards when pres conference in New York International Auto Show.
This Sport Car from German has defeated other finalist, such as Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT86. Above a high quality of sport car, passing the Ferrari is showing the superiority of Boxster and Cayman.
In standard model, Boxter offer 265 HP from it's 2.7 lt engine, meanwhile 315 HP power output is getting from the 3.4 lt engine. There are two option of transmission, six speed manual transmission and seven speed automatic dual clutch PDK transmission. it only need 4.7 second to achieving 62 mph from standstill.
Meanwhile, Cayman has two engine specification. Standard model is 2.7 lt engine that has 275 HP power and S Model with 3.4 lt engine, it hold 325 HP output power.
Boxter also available in two option of transmission, which are manual and automatic. When 3.4 lt engine meet with PDK transmission and Sport Chrono packet, it can race to 62 mph only in 4.4 second.
This award is the third time for Porsche. Last year, Porsche 911 received the same award and follow by Porsche Cayman that won Performance Car Award title in 2006.
