RECALL - Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2013

Mitsubishi car manufacture announced recall due a failure in Outlander Sport 2013. There are three sectors of failure, gasoline sensor, rear brake lights and transmission lever.

More than 4,539 units has failures in rear brake lights. Mitsubishi hope that all of the owner return their car to the nearest dealer to fixing the problem.

They said that the rear brake light was activated continuously or blink without command from the brake pedal. This failure can potentially for causing accident.

Others 3,724 units has same problem also, this time the problem is the failure of gasoline sensor to sent a signal. This signal lead to fake data in the gasoline indicator.

Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2013 has third issues, this issue involved to the transmission lever. The transmission lever can be moved to the Park (P) position without you push the brake pedal. Of course this condition can lead to accident or injuring the passenger.

All this failure was directly reviewed by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Meanwhile, the recall decision still for United Stated region, and from other regions in the world still wait for the Mitsubishi information.
