Toyota The World's Largest manufacturer car

Toyota successfully reclaim first position as the world's biggest manufacturer car. While Volkswagen and General Motors are still fighting each other to sit in second place.

The year 2012 was a record year for the world automotive industry. A total of 80 million cars and trucks have been sold, boosted by sales in Japan and the United States who managed to cover the European lowest point of market.

Toyota has managed to recover from the slump after the natural disaster in Japan last year. The Japanese giant manufacturer captured the first position of General Motors, and make the U.S. manufacturers from competing with Volkswagen.

The market strength for light vehicles helped three car manufacturers to increase sales during 2012. The market situation is expected to increase over the next year. This will be the fourth year after the collapse of industrial revival in 2009.

The distance between Volkswagen and General Motors less than 1 percent During the first three quarters Toyota sold 7.4 million vehicles, followed by General Motors with sales of 6.95 million units and Volkswagen with sales of 6.9 million units.
