VW got 1.0 in Golf

The Three cylinder engine has became idol in automotive industries. This engine is effective to answer the fuel problems.

Dr. Hans-Jakob Neusser, The Head R&D Volkswagen said that they has prepared a 1.0 lt turbocharger three cylinder engine. Of course, everyone has expected that, but the news said that the 110 Ps engine will be placed in Golf version.

VW was not a new player in three cylinder engine era. Previously, they has put 1.2 lt (three cylinder) engine in Polo, that using different block than 1.2 TSI turbo (four cylinder) engine. As extra information, there are also three cylinder engines that's belong to Up!.

Three cylinder turbo engine might sound goods in theory, but this system still needs test in real world.

For now, Ford with 1.0 EcoBoost is became the front of three cylinder engine technology and got title "Engine of The Year". Renault also became one of the big player with their 0.9 TCe, meanwhile the New Opel has just launching 1.0 lt SIDI Engine.

30 Million Sales of VW Golf

Volkswagen is celebrating their new history in Automotive World. VW Golf variant has been sold 30 million  units. And the 30th million unit has been finished in Wolfsburg Factory.

The 30th million unit, a Golf Mk7 TDI Bluemotion became the special variant. The Golf Mk7 TDI Bluemotion been put on display in Wolfsburg. VW also perform open house in the last weekand.

Golf TDI BlueMotion introduced as a the most efficient fuel of Golf variant. Golf TDI BlueMotion can reached 3.2 lt of fuel for 62 Miles.

Martin Winterkom, the Chairman of the Board of Management of VW has just received a "Car of the Year 2013" title for their Golf units. 60 juries has chosen VW Golf as the Best car with the highest sales number.

Golf defeated Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT 86 and Porsche Boxster/Cayman in this event. This is the second times in a row VW got the title. Earlier, VW Up! got this title in 2013

VW XL1 only for Rental?

Volkswagen has showed their concept car, XL1 in Geneva Motor Show. This car said that will be sold $100,000. And this super car will be produced 250 units and will not being sold for United States market. This Plug-in hybrid diesel only being offered for rental program.

This car use hybrid system and provided with two cylinder TDI engine that hold power to 48 hp.

This car also provided with an electric motor with 27 hp power and offered for seven speed transmission DSG. VW claimed that XL1 can accelerated from 0 - 26 mph in 12.7 seconds and it's maximum speed is 162 km/hour.

Volkswagen also said that XL1 is the most economic car in the world, it only consume 0.9 lt fuel for 100 Km, and CO2 emission only 21 g/Km.

Volkswagen Awesome Sales

Volkswagen (VW) recorded a scintillating  result in four month 2013. Their global sales is increasing 5.6% comparing last year. Since January to end of April 2013, VW has sold 3.05 million units. This is the first time VW passing the 3 million units number in January-April. Last month, VW sold 786,600 units, 7.2% higher than April 2012 (731,900).

Although their global sales increase, but the domestic sale was dropped. January-April 2013, VW only sold 370,200 units. Meanwhile the same period last year, they achieved sold 387,500 units or dropping 4.4%. In middle Europe and east also drop 2.9% from 205,100 units to 199,100 units. But in United States, their sales increasing 1.6%/. And in Asia Pacific, their sales also increasing 1.14 million units or 16% more higher. 1.02 million units sold in China, and 33,400 units in India.

Scirocco One Million Units Edition

To celebrating Scirocco production that reached 1 million units, Volkswagen made one special edition. But this model will not go to the global market but only be sold in two countries.

VW Scirocco One Million Units Edition only be sold in German and China. As special edition, this car will have different looks than the regular Scirocco.

Scirocco will paint in black with extra bold line accent. This car also adopt bumper and side sill R-Line. Meanwhile the cabin area, the seats will be on black leather skin, combining with orange stitched.

Scirocco first and second generation has been sold as many as 795,650 units. Meanwhile, the third generation of Scirocco has been sold as many as 204,350 units.

Volkswagen major breakthrough - 10 speed gearbox

Volkswagen are doing a major breakthrough. This German car manufacture are planning to development DSG 10 speed transmission.

Martin Winterkom as the official of VW announced the development of DSG 10 speed transmission. He said that several detail information about the future lineup product from Volkswagen.

Winterkom explained that a major plan of VW in Vienna Motor Symposium.

" Work area of Volkswagen will focus to the high performance diesel engine that give 100 kW/lt. Also double clutch and 10 speed gearbox. It will reduce the fuel consumption. We also focus to the hybrid plug-in wheel system"

For future model, VW planned to using nature gas as fuel alternative. VW wanted to surprise public in all car class.

This German Car Manufacture launched a production model, the named in iBeetle. this car has interactive feature for iPhone that can directly integrated to the Apple.

All function from iPhone can be used in this iBeetle. iPhone that has integrated to the VW iBeetle can be used as navigation, hands-free, listening music and many more.

Volkswagen iBeetle will be available in the future. Consumer can chose iBeetle in standard, coupe or convertible.

This model will available with grey color combined with alloy chrome wheel 18 inch. Their plan to launched it to the market in the beginning of 2014.

Scirocco 2015 - DIfferent is good

Volkswagen, car manufacture from German will launch their new generation from Scirocco in the next 2015. A future concept will bring to Scirocco 2015.

Head of Volkswagen design, Walter de Silva said the new model of VW Scirocco will be completely different than the last generation of VW.

"It has to be completely different. We don't want to use the last body of Scirocco, we want to change it in the New Scirocco"

Rumor said that New Volkswagen Scirocco will not enter the U.S Market or Asian. It only be market in Europe, because it will become to expensive if we exported to other part of the world. Volkswagen Scirocco also will available with front wheel drive but there will be option too for all wheel drive. Scirocco will use MQB platform just like the new VW Golf.

Volkswagen still not give any specific details about this model.

Volkswagen Golf has been chosen as World Car of the Year 2013. VW Golf got the highest point from all journalist International Automotives.

VW Golf itself recorded as the best sales car in the World. VW Golf successed beat others rival in the passenger car segment. Gofl has defeated Mercedes Benz A-Class, then combination of Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ/ Toyota GT 86 and Porsche Boxter/Cayman. All of them are candidate of World Car of the Year.

This is the second times in a row VW got the title of World Car the year. Last year, VW won the same title with their variant small car VW UP!.
