RECALL - Million KIA and Hyundai car

Because the failure in electric switch, Hyundai Motor Co and KIA Motors Corp has to recall 1.7 million car units in United States. This is one of the biggest recall regarding to this failure.

They recalled it due the electric switch failure which are connected to the braking light. This is continuity from 500,000 car units recall because the same issue back to 2009.

It suppose to when the driver hit the brake pedal, electric switch of this car light the braking light and turn off the cruise control. But because they have issued in the switch, the braking light sometime offline and the cruise control doesn't offline automatically.

Although, this problem doesn't interfere the brake function, but the affect of braking light can be dangerous, especially for a car who's behind it.

This recall encompass 1,059,824 Hyundai car from various model, such Accent and Tucson 2007 model to 2009, Elantra 2007 to 2010, Santa Fe 2007 to 2011, Veracruz 2008 to 2009 and Genesis 2010 to 2011, also Sonata 2011.

Meanwhile, KIA car who has same issued are Rondo and Sportage 2007 model to 2010, Sorento 2007 to 2011, Sedona 2007, Soul 2010 to 2011 and Optima 2011. Total are 623,658 car who got effect of this recall.

KIA Cub - Mustache Design

KIA, Korean car Manufacture is famous for their unique design. In their official web KIA, their new concept car that it's look like have a bold mustache, they named it CUB. CUB started it's first debut in Seoul Motor Show 2013 just like the KIA Sportage Wonder Woman does.

Although, it's dimension is still secret, CUB believe that they will become the new variant hatchback from KIA. It might be as successor of KIA Rio.

KIA Sportage Wonder Women

Kia the car manufacture from South Korean used The New York Motor Show to introducing Sportage with Wonder women concept.

This car made from cooperation between KIA and DC COmics. In earlier, KIA also has shown their car with Flash Forte Koup Concept, Aquaman Rio and Cyborg Superman Optima Hybrid, also Batman Optima.

Sportage also got fresh up, such as new body kit and grill, also in the interior side. It look obviously the hero concept in this five passenger car. With basic red body accent, and blue, also stars that distinctive character of Wonder woman.

KIA Rio use GT Status

South Korea Car Manufacture, KIA plan to develop GT lineup, they plan to show their new model to the market.

KIA has launched GT Sport Variant last year in Frankfurt Motor Show 2011, although it still in concept design. After that event, KIA confirmed that GT Sport will enter the production line and so does with Rio GT.

Europe KIA Boss, Benny Oeyen said that new GT sport variant will be shown with Rio Gt. This car will get 1.6 lt turbocharger engine, it will have power around 200 HP.

This amount of power will be enter to Pro Cee'd GT category, the first sport hatchback from KIA. This car has been shown to the World in Geneva Motor Show 2013. 1.6 Lt Engine GDI with turbo will produce 204 HP and 265 Nm torque.

The detail for the next GT lineup KIA has not been know yet, but rumors said the variant will be born just like Toyota GT86. But KIA GT offer comfortable. Perhaps KIA want to get new type of consumer who want to having a cute car coupe with two door.

KIA Provo - this car beat Nissan Juke badly

 South Korean car manufactured, KIA showed their latest concept car. They called it Provo and showing it at Geneva Motor Show 2013. This concept car has slight similar to Hyundai Veloster, but Provo has more futuristic design.

Provo design was made conglobate with dominant fender. The roof been made more lower and sloping. KIA Provo been made to compete against Nissan Juke. Provo has 3.88 Meter long, 1.77 Meter wide and 1,35 Meter high. Provo use unique front grill (tiger nose) from KIA.

Grey color in body Provo been combined with orange color in few parts such as roof, front spoiler, capillary brake. The cabin design combined retro style with modern style. The seats wrapped with Alcantara skin. This concept car provided with 1.6 lt Turbo GDI engine, it have power up to 201 Hp. This engine combined with electric motor to drive back wheel. For the first time, KIA use 7 speed transmission DCT (Double coupling transmission) in the car.

KIA Soul Electric Version

KIA Soul Electric Version launch in 2014?

 KIA is preparing it's new electric car and will be marketed globally in 2014. It's said that the KIA Soul will get the electric version and will be launched in mid 2014.

According to the President of European Marketing KIA Said that it was the middle of setting up an electric-powered for KIA Soul. Later, European consumers will get the first chance to see the KIA Soul Electric.

If KIA Soul electric successful to mass produced and marketed in outside Korea, then the KIA Soul electric will become the first KIA car who carried electricity power.

 Previously, KIA already have electric cars, but not mass-produced and only sold in Korea, KIA namely KIA Ray which has a power of 50 kW and able to walk as far as 138.4 km.

KIA using Television Program ( The History Channel) to promoting their new car varian, KIA Sorento CUV. In that program, KIA explain that using Robotic System to build a car.

For build one car, it's takes around 23 hours, from material into a car thats ready to be marketed. Each car models begin from assembly of Gavanized steel. And only less an hour, the scarp is converted into a acar parts.

The Next stage of KIA car are welding the car body, with using 242 robot. The welding process of 2,000 part for each car takes one fully day if they using manpower. Meanwhile the same task was performed by robot only takes less than 90 minutes.

About two hours after unwrapping the coil, The car platform go to the paint area, and spent nearly 30 percent of the total production time. The paint of KIA cars is build in sterile environtment because a little dust can damage the whole process of painting.

After the body was washed and polished with chemicals compound, then the next stage is dipped in a tub of electrically charged with 86,000 gallons of paint. Dipped about 6 minutes and the car will be rust resistant. The last stop is to getting the final coloring.

Then after the painting done, the last stage is the car will be fitted electronic chassis models, all other parts including the wheels. It's quite interesting how a steel coil can turn raw materials into Kia Sorento CUV in just 23 hours
