The Fastest Electric Car in the World available in Shanghai

Shanghai Motor Show 2013 got honored guest from United Stated, Detroit Electric who take a part in this event, showing their fastest electric car in the World SP:01. Detroit Electric SP:01 launched it first global debut in this event (Shanghai Motor Show 2013). Before of this event, Detroit Electric has shown SP:01 unofficially.

Detroit Electric is claiming that SP:01 is the fastest electric car in the world. Detroit Electric has recorded 999 units with 135,000 Dollar. And at this time, there are 35 buyer who order SP:01.

The source energy of Detroit Electric SP:01 came from it electric motor that can produced 201 BHP and 225 Nm of torque.

This car has weight 1.067 Kg and has body made from carbon fiber. This electric motor will be combined with six speed manual transmission that belong to Lotus Elise, with the last two gear is being deactivated. Consumer also can ordering the two speed automatic transmission.

Detroit Electric SP:01 can accelerated from 0 to 62 mph in 3.7 second, with maximum speed 155 mph. This car can travel to 190 miles with full batteries condition and only takes four hour to recharge the batteries.
